Procrastination
So it’s that time of year for most of Ontario’s Post-Secondary student. Yup, EXAMS! And seeing as my first one is tomorrow, the only logical thing for me to do is write on my tumblr since I haven’t done so in such a long time.
I’m not entirely sure what today’s post will be about, as I’m just writing for something to do other than study since I’ve been studying for the last 6 hours or so. Since I can’t think of my own things to say, I’m going to post a collection of quotes from one of the most knowledgeable men in history, one of my favourite writers who is above and beyond awesome in my standards, Kurt Vonnegut.
1. “I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, ‘If this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is.’”
2. “Peculiar travel suggestions are dancing lessons from God.”
3. “Tiger got to hunt, bird got to fly; Man got to sit and wonder, ‘Why, why, why?’ Tiger got to sleep, bird got to land; Man got to tell himself he understand.”
4. “There’s only one rule that I know of, babies—God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
5. “She was a fool, and so am I, and so is anyone who thinks he sees what God is doing.”
6. “Many people need desperately to receive this message: ‘I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.’” (Personal Favourite)
7. “There are plenty of good reasons for fighting, but no good reason ever to hate without reservation, to imagine that God Almighty Himself hates with you, too.”
8. “Since Alice had never received any religious instruction, and since she had led a blameless life, she never thought of her awful luck as being anything but accidents in a very busy place. Good for her.”
9. “That is my principal objection to life, I think: It’s too easy, when alive, to make perfectly horrible mistakes.”
10. “Literature should not disappear up its own asshole, so to speak.”
11. “All persons, living and dead, are purely coincidental.”
12. “Why don’t you take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut? Why don’t you take a flying fuck at the mooooooooooooon?”
13. “So it goes.”
14. “I have been a soreheaded occupant of a file drawer labeled ‘science fiction’ ever since, and I would like out, particularly since so many serious critics regularly mistake the drawer for a urinal.”
15. “We must be careful about what we pretend to be.”
So ladies an gents, or at least the 8 of you that follow me (thanks by the way :] ) I hope you enjoy these beautiful words as much as I do, and if you’ve never picked up a Vonnegut book, I strongly urge you to do so, he really was an amazing man who wrote amazing things.
“You can’t just let Harry Potter be your whole life.”

The Fenga Papit Girl
I do not know who she is, where she lives or even her name, but gahdayum! This child perks up my worst days and always makes me laugh. She also makes me want a fenga papit.
Thank you random girl, you have made my day once again :)
As the first submission to my Archives of Awesome, I felt that I should start off with a bang. With that being said, I present you all with the amazing work of Allie and her blog Hyperbole and a Half.
Basically, she writes of things that happened to her throughout her life, primarily in her childhood. You know, things like the monsters in her closet and eating too much birthday cake. Her posts are absolutely hilarious and full of hyperboles developed by herself which basically maps out a child’s thought process. Her posts are absolutely hilarious and full of illustrations which really are the cherry on top. They’re also incredibly easy to relate to, because lets face it, who of us weren’t once a child who were terrified of fire breathing monsters in our closets or having to deal with the devastating loss of a pet fish?
So enough about be blabbering away here, go and read some of these amazing posts, and feel free to leave some links to your favourites!
Peace!
